September 2020 AWS Cancelled!

Todd (L) and Dennis (R).

We are sorry to say that the September 16, 2020 AWS date is cancelled. And it is very likely that the November 2020 date will be cancelled as well. This is to comply with CDC guidelines as regards COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

You can still participate in the Amputee Walking School 2020 Steps Challenge even while you are “social distancing”! Amputee Walking School founders Todd and Dennis have just posted the information and want you to get involved! They talk about this activity as part of the Amputee Walking School program, and have set up a little state-to-state friendly competition to motivate people. You can check it out by clicking here!

We will look forward to having them back with us (and co-hosts University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute - UM Rehab) as soon as we can. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy, and watch your steps!

If you are not familiar with Amputee Walking School and the founders (Todd Schaffhauser and Dennis Oehler), we invite you to check out a great, really informative video, so click here. Todd and Dennis know how to engage and encourage amputees to get moving!

You can read all about prior sessions and see a LOT of pictures by scrolling through our AWS news below.
