Support is key to success--where can I find it?

When an individual is born without part of their limb(s) or experiences limb loss later in life, having support from friends, family, and the larger community can play an important role in healing and recovery. Many individuals may look for a place to learn from others who have been on a similar journey, and the good news is that there are many resources that can provide such support.

Whether in person or virtually, there are a wealth of support groups across the state of Maryland that meet monthly, where they host speakers on a variety of topics, and of course provide a forum for group members to ask questions, share ideas and socialize! Below, you will find a list of these groups, starting with virtual support groups lead through the Amputee Coalition, followed by groups local to the Maryland area.
