Welcome to Cumberland, Rebecca Frost!

IMG_1697.jpg

We would like to welcome Rebecca Frost, CP, to the Cumberland Office team! Becca has spent time in every Dankmeyer office and is very excited to learn more about the amazing clients and healthcare workers of Western Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania!

Her hobbies include anything outdoors, including activities like hiking, wakeboarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, and volleyball. Being in this beautiful part of our state gives her new opportunities to explore her favorite outside work activities in the great outdoors.

Mark Treasure, CP, BOCO and Heather Iman, Patient Services Representative, gave Becca a little socially distant, PPE wearing COVID appropriate welcome. Together (yet apart!) the Cumberland team is “Maryland Strong! Cumberland Strong! Dankmeyer Strong!”

Congratulations Tyler and Gavin, Graduates of 2020

2020.jpg

This has been a tough spring semester for students everywhere, but for many seniors it must have seemed a very difficult and disappointing situation. Dankmeyer would like to take this opportunity to wish all graduates of the Class of 2020 Best Wishes and Good Luck!

Particularly we would like to give a special shout out to two young men who have both worked and/or volunteered at Dankmeyer over the last few years. Tyler Treff and Gavin Castle are members of this Class of 2020 whose senior year of high school ended in a very unexpected way. Tyler is the son of Patient Services Coordinator Cindy French, and Gavin is the son of Patient Services Coordinator Adrienne Castle. Tyler graduated from North County High School - Home of the Knights - in Glen Burnie. Gavin graduated from Northeast High School - Home of the Eagles - in Pasadena.

We have a gallery of pictures from each young man that represent a bit of their personal and family graduation celebrations. We wish them both well and all success as they move forward into the next steps of their lives.

Gavin Castle’s gallery is first, with Tyler’s next. Please celebrate them with their families and the Dankmeyer team.

Therapy Dog Fathom Reports In

IMG_3387.jpeg

We asked Jamie Dean, Dankmeyer Patient Services Representative located in the Eastern Shore office, to interview Fathom for an update. Fathom is Jamie’s therapy dog who used to make regular visits to the Linthicum office for Fathom Friday. Fathom has been home with her human family and folks have been curious as to what the friendly, treat loving, sweet girl has been up to. Jamie scheduled an interview and submits it here.

Hi Everypawdy!

It’s me, Fathom! Due to COVID-19, I unfortunately have been unable to come into the office to help the employees and patients of Dankmeyer de-stress. The last time I was there it was March and here are some pictures of me with some of my Dankmeyer friends: Stacy and Abi, Bryan, Cindy and Courtney.

I thought I would give you an update on what I have been up to these past couple of months. My brother, Tarpon and I, have been enjoying all this extra family time.  My mom, Jamie Dean, has been working from home two days a week which has been great! I mean, what dog wouldn’t love four full days with their human?!

I have definitely been enjoying the extra cuddles, evening walks, extra games of ball and I have to say, Tarpon and my bird chasing abilities have greatly improved! We never catch one but I am definitely faster than Tarpon. I have started to really like the newest member of our family, my human brother, Rhett. I am really enjoying the food droppings he is providing; I foresee a great relationship between us brewing.

My doggie advice to all my friends struggling, is to try your best to enjoy this extra family time while you can. When will be the next time you’ll be able to sit and really enjoy Mother Nature, listening to her whispers in the trees or lay in the grass?  I truly cannot wait to come back into the office and see everyone, but in the meantime I am going to keep pawing my mom and dad for extra belly rubs.

Stay healthy & safe!

Fathom
