Congratulations, Jeremy Halteman, CPO!

Congratulations to Jeremy Halteman, CPO, who has been promoted to the role of Director of Technical Operations! Jeremy has been with Dankmeyer for three years as our High Tech Clinical Specialist. He takes on this additional role to further develop technical operations to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing industry. Jeremy has been at the forefront of our digital workflow research and development. He is part of our Osseointegration team and developing the use of other emerging technologies in Orthotics and Prosthetics.

We are excited to welcome Jeremy to this role!

Welcome to New Team Members Chrissy and Lukas!

In January Dankmeyer welcomed two new team members. Please meet Chrissy Huebner, CPO and Lukas Baner, CTPO.

Chrissy Huebner, CPO, is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Chrissy became interested in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics in high school after shadowing and volunteering in multiple hospitals in the area. She attended the University of Washington and Cleveland State University for her BS in Health Sciences and completed her MS in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Eastern Michigan University. She completed her residencies in the Washington DC area and Michigan. She enjoys focusing on individualizing prosthetic and orthotic devices for a patients unique needs. In her free time, Chrissy enjoys exploring as well as dancing, kayaking and spending time with her dog. Chrissy is splitting her time between the Baltimore Washington (Linthicum) office and the Western Maryland (Cumberland area) office.

Lukas Baner, is a Certified Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician. Lukas received his Associates in Applied Science in Orthotic and Prosthetic Technologies at Oklahoma State University IT. He is passionate about building prosthetics and 3D printing prosthetic sockets along with specialty parts. Outside of work, Lukas enjoys playing kickball leagues and going to major sporting events. He also has a crazy obsession with hot sauce!

New Year, New Dankmeyer Roles

With the promise and excitement that comes with a new calendar year, we decided that it was time to share some things we have been doing in the background to prepare for 2023.

After over 40 years in service of Dankmeyer, ten of which were spent as our Chief Operating Officer, Joe DeLorenzo has stepped into a new role as Vice President.

We are proud to announce Angie Bryl, CPO, MBA as our new Chief Operating Officer! Angie has been part of team Dankmeyer since 2004 when she started shadowing practitioners on her school breaks. Prior to taking the responsibility of the COO position, Angie was our Clinical Director. While Clinical Director, Angie raised the level of our Residency and Student programs and is a founding member of Dankmeyer Academy.

This leads us to our third announcement. Mary Reedy, CP, moves into the Clinical Director position! Mary has been with Dankmeyer since 1999 and has been the staff member to spearhead clinical growth and direction of the Baltimore Washington (Linthicum) office for the last few years.

We are very excited about this transition, as we move into 2023. Congratulations Joe, Angie and Mary!

Dankmeyer says Goodbye! to Sheryl and Danny

We have two recent departures from the Dankmeyer team.

Last month, Sheryl Sachs, CPO, left us for a family move out of state.

Now we also say goodbye to Daniel Weiser, CO who is leaving for family reasons.

Sheryl was with Dankmeyer for over 11 years and Danny for two years. We thank them for their service and all the contributions they made to their patients and the Dankmeyer team.

We miss them both and wish them the best of luck in their new adventures.

Welcome, Amanda! Welcome Back, Sheryl!

Our staff has grown in the last two months! A new team member has joined our Eastern Shore office in Patient Services, and a former team member practitioner has returned.

Welcome to Easton, Amanda Herbert! And welcome back to the Baltimore Washington office, Sheryl Sachs, CPO!

Born and raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Amanda Herbert received her high school diploma and Cosmetology License back in 2016. After graduating, she had various jobs in the customer service field. These positions gave her an opportunity to learn and improve her customer care skills. She has learned the art of communication in dealing with clients in a varied array of circumstances and is ready to assist our clients in any way she can. She has always loved being able to help people and finds it very rewarding to see clients happy. In her free time, she enjoys game nights with the family, watching movies and spending time with her pets, a dog named Bella and a cat named Indi. She is eager and very excited to be a part of the Dankmeyer team!

Sheryl Sachs is a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist, who has returned to Dankmeyer after a short move to New Jersey. She has been with Dankmeyer since 2011. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, she received a BS in Kinesiology and a BA in Communications from the University of Maryland, College Park. While she was there, she was interested in sports broadcasting, worked as a student athletic trainer, and initially thought she might to pursue a post-graduate degree in physical therapy. Then, she had the opportunity to volunteer at Walter Reed in the Prosthetics Lab and found she loved working with the devices and the patients. She attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where she received her Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics and completed her residencies at Dankmeyer. Sheryl is very active in the O&P field outside of our office. She serves on the executive committee of the NCOPE board, a professional organization that focuses on overseeing the education of new students entering O&P. She is also active with the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) as a volunteer on their government affairs committee and is passionate about advocacy efforts to help improve patients’ access to care. She is a former marathoner, and in her free time, she enjoys watching sports and spending time with her husband and two children.

We are so happy to have Amanda join our team, and very excited to have Sheryl rejoin us! Say hello when you see them, and Welcome!
