Professional Course: Lower Limb Prosthesis Prescription and Training Considerations: An Update

The staff at Dankmeyer, Meg Sions, Todd Schaffhauser, and Dennis Oehler will be presenting a professional course, Lower Limb Prosthesis Prescriptions and Training Considerations: An Update on November 14th, before Amputee Walking School. This course is designed for physical therapists and other rehab professionals who work with those who have experienced limb loss. Course objectives include: the ability to discuss the evaluation, prescription, and documentation requirements, and training considerations for those with lower limb loss, as well as the ability to develop a collaborative approach to maximize functional potential for the prosthesis user.

Check-in opens at 8:45 am and the lecture portion concludes at 4:00 pm. After a short break, the fun kicks up a notch at 5:00 pm when the Amputee Walking School starts!

This course has been approved by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for 0.5 CEUs.
