The staff at UM Rehab, Dankmeyer, Todd Schaffhauser, and Dennis Oehler will be presenting a professional course, Advanced Gait Training For Persons With Amputations. This course is designed for physical therapists and other rehab professionals who work with those who have experienced limb loss. Course objectives include: teaching fitness modifications, performing appropriate stretches and exercises to increase flexibility and strength, and educating patients on resources.

Check-in opens at 1:30 pm and the lecture portion concludes around 4:45 pm. After a short break, the fun begins when Amputee Walking School kicks off at 5:00 pm!

This course has been approved by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for 0.5 CEUs.
