If you are a PT, PTA, student or a healthcare professional who works with amputees and would like to learn more about advanced gait training the course, Advanced Gait Training for Individuals with Lower Extremity Amputation, will be offered offered on November 15, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at UMROI. The class culminates in the Amputee Walking School that starts at 5:00 pm.
The course will explain the dynamic of prosthetic devices and how they work, identify appropriate exercises for those with lower limb amputations, teach high level gait techniques for amputees and educate on treatment approaches and recreational opportunities.

The course has been approved by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for .5 CEUS.
