Mark Hopkins, PT, CPO, MBA and CEO of Dankmeyer Inc, was awarded the Clinical Commitment Award at the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) annual meeting February 2026. This award recognizes members who have quietly demonstrated a commitment to improving the professional image of the orthotic and prosthetic profession to patients, co-workers, and colleagues.
Mark is a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist and a Licensed Physical Therapist, who has been with Dankmeyer since 1992. He completed his MBA at The Johns Hopkins University. He is currently adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine School of Physical Therapy and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Mark became CEO of Dankmeyer in 2012 when he became an owner upon Charles Dankmeyer’s retirement. Mark is a huge advocate for our residency program and an important part of all of Dankmeyer’s annual professional education programs.
Also in attendance at the AAOP meeting in Nashville, TN were Dankmeyer practioners Sheryl Sachs CPO, Helena Ringer CPO, Cole Branche CPO and Claire Vallery CPO. Claire is a Dankmeyer team member who is currently a PhD Student at the University of Delaware in the Delaware Limb Loss Lab with a focus in clinical outcomes research. Claire was a presenter at the meeting, sharing her research on falls from her paper called "Baseline Fall History and Multisite Pain Predict Future Falls Among Adults with Lower-limb Amputation."
