Where do I find an amputee support group?

Where does someone with limb loss or limb difference look for a group to share information about activities and common interests and issues. Is there such a group?

What you are looking for is usually called an amputee support group. These groups are not limited to amputees, since there are people with congenital limb loss or limb difference. There are several in the Maryland area and one of these might be convenient for you to attend. Support groups often host speakers on a variety of topics, and of course provide a forum for group members to ask questions, share ideas and socialize!

Support Groups: This list was composed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic may have caused some of these groups to make changes in their schedules, go virtual, or temporarily pause meetings. Check before making any plans to attend in person.
